The subconscious desire to make your partner into your enemy

The subconscious desire to make your partner (or friend) into your enemy is the cause of many projections and imaginations.
If they are allowed to be their messy human selves, without it being a threat to you, they are going to find harmony with you faster.
Name your needs and boundaries. Make them as non-critiquing as possible to get the message across and be heard (but sometimes that just has to come out messy too and it’s okay).
Cultivating trust with another in such a way that they allow space for your imperfections is among the holiest of experiences.
This is called mutual respect.
Not everyone can be in a field of mutual respect.
Most people’s projections are too strong to even fathom mutual respect as a genuine posssibility.
It is often treated as a fastasy – people do this in order to maintain their protective defenses.
Deciding (for ourselves) on mutual respect is a good direction to move in.
It is so beautiful.
