In our world, authenticity is deeply feared.In general, people have shut out of their minds what authenticity really looks and feels like.
When someone is expressing from their genius, authentically, it can land as deeply scary. It’s not “business as usual”.
It’s exciting, but also very much a pattern interrupt.
This means: patterns and authenticity cannot coexist. Being exposed to authenticity can cause us to feel shame, anger, or fear.
I’ve been in many situations where the expression of authenticity truly angered people. Patterns can become vicious in their determination to stay intact.
When we aren’t operating on patterns, we move spontaneously. Without agenda. Without needing to understand everything that’s happening.
There are some overarching, general programs running in humanity. One of them is the tendency to try EVERYTHING ELSE until authenticity is literally the only option left.
Usually, elders are the most authentic of all adults, because they’ve finally given up on everything that didn’t work. It requires too much energy to keep holding up the masks.
What’s needed is some way to step into authenticity NOW. What’s needed is a space to learn how to flow beyond our typical limits.
